The Wedding Weekend
Bonn
In Bonn, immerse yourself in the city's rich history by exploring the historic Old Town, where you can admire beautiful architecture and quaint streets. A visit to the Beethoven House, the birthplace of the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven, offers insight into his life and works. Don’t miss the chance to stroll along the Rhine River promenade, where you can enjoy scenic views and relax at riverside cafés. Additionally, the Bonn Botanical Garden and the Poppelsdorf Palace provide lovely green spaces for leisurely walks and picnics.
How to Get There
For those flying in, Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) is the nearest major airport, located just a short distance from the city and easily accessible via public transport. Additionally, Frankfurt Airport (FRA), one of Europe’s largest hubs, is about 80 miles from Bonn and travel by train or bus/car takes just under two hours. Düsseldorf Airport, DUS, is also relatively close at 50 miles away. Bonn's Main Train Station is well-connected to major cities whether you prefer the skies or the rails. The crew that is partying in Heppenheim will be arriving via train (expect around a 3 hour journey)
Bonn has a well-developed public transit system that includes trams, buses, a light rail network called the "Stadtbahn" (considered a type of underground), and regional trains, with most lines converging at the central station (Hauptbahnhof) making it easy to navigate different parts of Bonn using a single ticket system.

Things to Do
La Redoute, located in the picturesque Bad Godesberg neighborhood of Bonn, is a wedding venue rich in history. Originally built in the late 18th century as a ballroom and concert hall, La Redoute played a significant role in the early life of Ludwig van Beethoven, who was discovered there by the renowned composer Joseph Haydn. More recently, La Redoute served as a diplomatic hub, particularly during Bonn's era as the capital of West Germany.
Situated in the heart of Bad Godesberg, La Redoute is easily accessible by train, car, and by foot if you are staying nearby. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
